Knocking down the anthill

By Epsilon command - Posted on 17 February 2009

Once again, I feel like kicking down the anthill. I'm happy I decided to drop the fighters away from the beta edition, as fighter rules are undergoing very large transformation. Now I' beginning to feel that they are intuitive, fast and work very well. Troop combat has also been completely reformed, and finally the numbers feel like matching. Sometimes simpliest solutions work best - it just takes a long journey before reaching enlightment.

New features like commanders, ground bases and terrain elements are starting to materialize. This also means that I need to start designing new graphics soon. This is one of the most fun aspects of the game, the only problem is that there is so much to do... While printing sky full of stars on a printer would be senseless due to ink consumption, I want to create all other terrain elements as printable terrains.

I'm also planning to do some new units for the game. This may take for a while, but I believe the game needs a nuke launcher, a regular cruiser and a pure carrier. Some comments about complexity of some models also gave me some thoughts, so something completely new might appear some day...

When I get new materials ready, I will be sharing some stuff for free to newsletter subscribers only. So if you want your piece of the cake, be sure to join the newsletter! As a reminder, the newsletter is used for most important updates only, so it won't be a spam problem; And of course, you can cancel the order at any time.

If you haven't noticed yet, Building models -section is up and has new materials. I'm trying to add guides how to put different ships together soon.
